The 937 health line and the Sehhaty app in Madinah let you speak to a doctor or report a health service problem without leaving home. This guide explains what the Ministry of Health (MOH) says each channel is for, so your family knows where to turn.
What the 937 line does
The MOH runs 937 around the clock. Its stated services are medical consultations with doctors, taking patient reports and following them up, guidance for poisoning cases, and receiving complaints and feedback (MOH: 937 Services). The MOH contact page lists 937 for calls from inside the Kingdom and 00966920005937 for calls from abroad (MOH: Contact Us).
Telemedicine through Sehhaty
The National Portal describes remote medical consultation, including psychological and mental health consultations, through the Sehhaty app or by calling 937 (my.gov.sa: Healthcare). It is meant to help non-emergency cases avoid unnecessary hospital visits. If you are newly settled, add Sehhaty to the app list in our first-month checklist for Madinah.
Other ways to reach 937
An MOH channels document lists a digital ticket portal (937.moh.gov.sa/tickets), email at 937@moh.gov.sa, WhatsApp and live chat on 920005937, and the ministry’s social media accounts (MOH: 937 communication channels, PDF).
When 937 is not the right call
937 is an advice and support line, not an ambulance service. The National Portal says government ambulance services are provided through the Saudi Red Crescent Authority. In an emergency, call for an ambulance first.
Tips for families and guests
Save 937 in every family member’s phone. Keep each person’s ID or iqama number ready before you call. If relatives are visiting for the Prophet’s Mosque, share the number with them too; our guide to hosting guests in Madinah covers the rest of their visit.
