The Tawakkalna app is Saudi Arabia’s national comprehensive app. Its official site says it brings government services, information, documents, and publications into one place for citizens, residents, and visitors (Tawakkalna official site). For a Madinah household, that can mean fewer apps to juggle and your documents ready on your phone.
What the app offers
The official site describes services across health, security, education, general services, and more. It is run under SDAIA, and its page carries the Digital Government Authority registration notice used by official Saudi sites. Saudi government websites end in gov.sa.
How residents and citizens register
The official steps are short:
- Download the app.
- Register as a new user and enter the details requested.
- Enter the verification code sent to the mobile number registered on Absher.
You can also sign in with Nafath. Enter your ID number, then either approve the request in the Nafath app or use your Nafath username and password.
If your Absher number is out of date, fix that first or the code will not reach you. Our guide to Absher services for residents on our sister site covers the basics.
How visitors register
The site gives a separate route for visitors and GCC nationals: enter your passport number, mobile number, date of birth, and nationality, then enter the code sent to your phone and create a password of at least 8 characters. This is useful when relatives come to Madinah to visit the Prophet’s Mosque. See our guide to hosting guests.
Using it sensibly
- Download only from the official app stores, and check links end in gov.sa.
- Never share a Nafath or Absher code with anyone who calls you.
- Keep Tawakkalna for documents and services, Sehhaty for health, and Nusuk for Rawdah permits. See our Rawdah permit guide and 937 and Sehhaty guide.
